Vertegenwoordigen

The verb "vertegenwoordigen" contains the word "tegenwoordig", which translates to "present". Related nouns are "vertegenwoordiger": "representative" and "vertegenwoordiging": "representation".

"Wandelgang" is composed of "wandel" and "gang", which respectively translate to "walk/stroll" and "hallway/corridor". As an expression, "iets in de wandelgangen horen" is used in a situation where information is informally acquired.

Inspired by the recent Facebook film, today's word is "netwerk";-) As in English, "netwerk" has all the same meanings, including its related verb "netwerken". 

Examples:

("Last January, hackers connected to Wikileaks temporarily took down the Mastercard.")

Verwarming

"Verwarming" can refer to the entire heating system or a (single) radiator unit.

Extra:
Most modern Dutch houses have some kind of central heating system, called "centrale verwarming" or "CV(-installatie)". Core of the system is usually a gas-heated  "CV-ketel" (boiler or heater). In older houses you may also find "gasverwarming" units (gas heaters). And in some parts of the country you may also have "stadsverwarming" (district heating).

Tijdverdrijf "Verdrijven" translate as "to drive/chase away", however in combination with "tijd" it means "to pass time, to while away". Usually you will only encounter the noun "tijdverdrijf" (pastime) which most of the time has a positive connotation.
